Rasheada Caldwell

As Director of Youth & Community Partnerships, Rasheada meets with youth, families, government leaders and youth-serving, community-based organizations to develop a coordinated community plan for youth development. In developing the community plan, Rasheada will conduct a landscape scan of the current programs and services that work with youth in our community as well as identify opportunities for shared services and better coordination among youth serving organizations.

​Rasheada brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position. She recently served as Manager of PEACE’s Eastside Family Resource Center. Prior to that position, she was a Residential Manager for the Salvation Army’s Women’s Shelter and a Home Visitor for PEACE. Rasheada also founded an organization, Let Me Be Great #44, named in honor of her son, Rasheed Baker. Through Let Me Be Great #44, Rasheada provides a variety of empowering programs for youth.

Rasheada currently serves on the Syracuse Common Council. In addition to her work as a Common Councilor, Rasheada also serves on the Board of Directors for Home HeadQuarters and the Greater Syracuse Land Bank, as well as being a coach for the Girls’ High School Basketball team at Syracuse Academy of Science. Rasheada has received many leadership awards including the 2019 NYSCAA Leadership Award Advocate for Families and Communities and the 2019 NeighborWorks America Dorothy Richardson Award for Resident Leadership. She is a graduate of Empire State College.
